Spring Hair and Beauty (opened in 2005) is a contemporary boutique Salon in the heart of Bampton, Oxfordshire, positioned between Witney and Faringdon. We are a warm, friendly and inviting team, offering a comprehensive range of hair services and beauty treatments to suit a diverse clientele, in a relaxed and professional atmosphere.

Full Time Stylist and Part Time Senior Stylist

Spring Hair and Beauty Boutique Salon in Bampton, West Oxfordshire is looking for an experienced Stylist and Senior Stylist with a genuine passion for making clients look and feel amazing to join their friendly and professional Premier Matrix Salon team.

Requirements

The ideal candidates should:

 - Be ideally educated to NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
 - Stylist to ideally have 5 years salon floor work experience.
 - Senior Stylist to ideally have 5 years work experience within a senior role.
 - Be a motivated team player.
 - Be able to demonstrate fantastic customer service skills.
 - Be able to work well under own initiative.

Your passion for the industry and strong customer focus will ensure that you are committed to delivering the ultimate client experience. Qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), you will also have experience of working in a busy pro-active salon and be able to perform the usual services such as tinting, weaving, fashion colouring, technical cutting and blow-drying to a high standard.

Knowledge of Matrix colours and products and Dressing long hair will be an advantage.

You should also recognise the importance of retailing within your role.

 - Part time position: Monday 9am - 5pm, Tuesday 9am - 5pm, Friday 9am - 5pm, plus one Saturday in four 8.30am - 3.30pm.
 - Full time position: Monday 9am - 5pm, Tuesday 9am - 5pm, Wednesday 9am - 7pm, Friday 9am - 5pm, plus three Saturdays in four 8.30am - 3.30pm and one Thursday in four 11.30am - 7pm.
 - Salary paid every four weeks.

Start Date: Immediate

Salary: £7.00 - £11.50 per hour + excellent Commission Scheme (according to experience and possible client following)

Example: Our Graduate Stylist worked up to Creative Stylist in two years, she now earns £20,150 a year!

Full Time Salon Assistant / Hairdressing Apprentice

Spring Hair and Beauty Boutique Salon in Bampton, West Oxfordshire is looking for a Full Time Salon Assistant/Hairdressing Apprentice with a genuine passion for making clients feel special, to join their friendly and professional Premier Matrix Salon team.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should:

 - Have initiative, common sense, and an eagerness to learn the hair and beauty business.
 - Be well organised and able to communicate and work well as a team member.
 - Be very smartly dressed and well-groomed in appearance.
 - Be able to demonstrate fantastic customer service skills.
 - Be able to work well under own initiative.

You should have a positive and happy nature, and love listening and enjoy light conversation.

This is a diverse role and is ideal for a person who likes constant interaction with people but who can also maintain an orderly salon and work well on their own. You must be well organised and be able to communicate and work well as a team member. Candidates should possess superior customer service skills, poise under pressure and have the ability to effectively multi-task.

Your role will be to support the Stylists and Therapists, to give outstanding customer care to our clients and to maintain the house keeping duties of the salon.

You will also be required to maintain and oversee retail and stock levels, cover the reception area, maintain salon cleanliness and hygiene to a high standard, shampoo and remove tints etc. (full training will be given).

Salon experience would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be given.

In return we are offering::

 - A full time position: Monday 9am - 5pm, Tuesday 9am - 5pm, Wednesday 9am - 7pm, Thursday 10am - 7pm, Friday 9am - 5pm with Saturdays off.
 - Apprentice salary: £160 per week subject to minimum wage Apprenticeship criteria. Plus Bonus incentives and 10% commission on product sales.
 - Salon Assistant salary: from £6.00 per hour. Plus Bonus incentives and 10% commission on product sales.
 - Full NVQ training with paid day release.
 - Matrix Premium in-salon education and On-location Matrix Education.
 - An opportunity to build your own client column.
